At Exercise Trident Jaguar 2014, NATO has been training its core task -- collective defence. The scenario, developed over a year ago, involved coming to the aid of NATO member Estonia. The aim was to test the ability of command and control staff from across NATO to work together and conduct an operation from a joint headquarters at sea and to send a clear message of visible assurance to all Allies.
